We’re all familiar with the old saying “out with the old, in with the new”. Nowhere is this more relevant than in fashion world, where it’s always about change!
Being somewhat of an in-between month in the fashion industry, January is a great time to take stock of your closet and beauty stash. Time to clear out what is no longer relevant and make a plan for the upcoming seasons. With that in mind, we’ve made a list of what we feel you can say goodbye to, and what should be on your shopping radar for 2015.
Let it go:
-The peplum
-The boxy hard sided handbag
-Tunics with leggings
-Bib overalls
-Ugly shoes
-Cheek baring cut-off shorts
-The sheer maxi/mini
-I dream of Jeanne ponytail
-Ombre hair color
-Hair extensions
-Long almond shaped finger nails
Embrace for 2015:
-The statement skirt-A chic carry all tote bag
-Compression fabric leggings with hip length tops
-Gingham checks
-Gladiator sandals
-Culottes
-Softly colored floral print dresses, tea length
-Low and loosely undone ponytail or braid
-Hand painted sun kissed highlights
-Textured air-dried hairstyles
-Short pale nails
Now, we’re not proposing that you need to reinvent yourself every year, far from it. I would relate it more to understanding your own personal style and learning how to edit the trends for a perfect fit.
My personal resolutions are to REALLY clean my closets, stop being a fashion hoarder, add some color to my wardrobe and to only buy more of what I actually wear.
What will your fashion resolutions be?
