We are featuring three trunk shows right now at Lotus. These three designers are all new to Lotus and each have something delicately different to offer! Auden, Luv AJ and Kelly Wearstler. There is nothing better than a trunk show, and this one has triple the beauty.
AUDEN
AUDEN is a New York based accessories line founded by designer Bryce Castaneda and Steven Gordon. Castaneda discovered his affinity for making jewelry after he created pieces for friends and soon started receiving orders from admirers. In 2010 Castaneda partnered with Gordon to launch AUDEN, a line informed by Castaneda's eye for merging ethnic cultures, time periods and art, and conveying it through a prism that feels fresh and new.
AUDEN is a collection of timeless jewelry with a luxe modern point-of-view. Illustrating a captivating fusion of architectural shapes and edgy design. The line strikes a refined balance between feminine and masculine, and polished and tough sensibilities. AUDEN jewelry is defined by its attention to detail and craftsmanship. The collection offers innovative yet playful silhouettes that combine a graphic mix of metal, leather, Swarovski crystal and semi-precious stone embellishments. Each piece is hand made in New York City and finished with artisanal touches.
LUV AJ
Luv Aj Designer Amanda Thomas started her accessories line in 2005 once her after-school obsession parlayed into her own line. After a chance encounter with a buyer at Fred Segal, they picked up the entire line for their stores and by the age of 16, Luv Aj was officially created.
As a recent grad from Otis College of Art and Design, Amanda has learned from the best, interning with clothing designer Rachel Pally, celebrity fashion stylists Cristina Ehrlich and Estee Stanley, and the lovely ladies at the online magazine Who What Wear. These opportunities have inspired Amanda to pursue her love of jewelry and eventually expand Luv Aj to boutiques across the nation, leading to its popularity among starlets and clients such as Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, Whitney Port, and Nicole Richie who admire her signature heavy-metal spikes and layered chains. Now the 25 year-old designer combines a worn and torn edginess with a hint of femininity in her line of jewelry, that ranges from bodychains to handpieces and everything in between. Amanda continues to expand Luv Aj and hopes to adorn the whole world in her bad ass bling.
Kelly Wearstler
As a showcase for her creative work, Wearstler has published four books: Modern Glamour: The Art of Unexpected Style, Domicilium Decoratus, Hue, and Rhapsody. Her much lauded blog MyVibeMyLife houses mood imagery and inspiration garnered from sources around the globe. Additionally, Wearstler has amassed a venerable web presence on major social media platforms for sharing her eclectic style and fearless calling-card aesthetic with followers.
